Each winner was challenged with creating their own rug -
deciding on
concept, material, and design. Sponsored by Landry &
Arcari, the
recipients were coached through the carpet design phase,
seeing their creation through to completion. The five rugs were
auctioned off at the event, with all proceeds benefiting Barakat, Inc., a
Cambridge, Mass.–based charity promoting educational opportunities
for women and children in central and south Asia. Truly a great cause, and the 5 rugs were successfully auctioned to some very lucky winners!
