We hope this finds you well and enjoying the hot summer! Martha's Vineyard Interior Design has been busy completing projects and starting new ones. Main Street in Vineyard Haven has been bustling, and Bespoke Abode is stocked full for all our summer visitors.

Staging Secrets: Flowers, of course!

Fresh Flowers: For our recent photo shoot, we created multiple floral arrangements that could be interchanged from room to room. Having options on hand ensures you get the right shot, or that you present the room with the best matched arrangement. 

 Buying single stems can add up quickly, so get creative. Look around your home for indigenous, seasonal plants you can utilize. The hydrangeas we used were all hand picked by Liane from her very own yard! 

Additionally, with larger spaces you might need some height. We purchased plotted plants that had tall blossoming stems, and hand cut them. You can get more stems out of a single plant, and cutting them yourself allows you more control of how they can be presented and used.

On Site with MVID & Eric Roth Photography

MVID recently had the pleasure of working on a photo shoot with photographer Eric Roth at our client's home on Cape Cod. A fun day full of staging, flower arranging, and positioning, Eric took some beautiful photos of the residence. We are looking forward to sharing those with you as soon as they arrive! 

In the meantime, we'll be sharing some tips of the trade for staging your home - whether it's because your home is on the market, for interior photos, or just for optimum beautiful living. Stay tuned!

Winter Wonderland

As the holidays approach, our office is full of discussion regarding our favorite holiday decor. Putting our creativity to use, while staying true to our seaport location, we decided to take a navy and white approach to decorating our home decor boutique, Bespoke Abode.

Warm with winter white - whites and creams in the winter can be quite warming, actually. Inside it keeps your decor bright and evokes the feeling of coziness that is highly coveted.

Make it personal and customized -  bespoke your holiday decor. We created our own lighted garland with navy burlap ribbon, navy and white ticking, and white light strands. 

Add texture and accents - we intermingled mercury glass and burlap. The Mercury glass helped to magnify our pretty lights, and the burlap adds an unexpected rustic texture.

Designer Insider

Check out the Fall/Winter Issue of Martha's Vineyard Magazine (on newsstands tomorrow).
The article titled Designer Insider (pg 40 to 45) features a few recent projects Liz has completed as well as a little insight on her life and our three companies Martha's Vineyard Interior Design, Bespoke Abode, and Martha's Vineyard Furniture Company.
